How to block your snowflake

I use white glue to block my snowflakes.

  • Pour white glue into a washable container.
  • Add an equal amount of water and mix together.
  • Soak the snowflake in the glue mixture and then gently squeeze out all the excess glue.
  • pin the snowflake to a cardboard box topped with plastic wrap.
  • allow the snowflake to dry for 24 hours.
  • remove the pins and – voilà!

  1. Thanks for the tip, Brenda! I’ve tried it once, but ended up with more glue on the plastic wrap than on the snowflake. So, I lost my patience and just dipped the whole flake into the glue mixture 🙂

  2. Carolyn

I no longer use plastic wrap to cover cardboard. I use the non-stick aluminum foil. I have less problem with aluminum foil sticking to the snowflake.
